The attention of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been drawn to Super Falcon’s Gloria Ofoegbu who is yet recover from a knee injury she sustained when she represented the country at the 2014 African Women’s Championship in Namibia.
Ofuegbu wasn’t considered for the Super Falcons World Cup build up as a result of the injury which is reportedly a career threatening one.
The talented left-back is always a delight to watch and was an important member of the Falconets teams to the 2010 and 2012 FIFA U20 World Cups respectively.
Highlights of the 23-year-old’s career thus far includes the brace she bagged in the 2013 Federation Cup final for Rivers Angels against Nasarawa Amazons and the brilliant free-kick she netted in the 2014 AWC Group game against Namibia.
The NFF have urged not to neglect the former Nasarawa Amazons star who has shown commitment in serving the nation.
The cost of the surgical operation is very expensive and the overlapping defender needs the support of the Nigeria Football Federation as well as that of well meaning Nigerians.
