Osun Babes’ striker Precious Edewor has set a target for the number of goals she wants to score this season.
“Fifteen” was the answer she gave when LadiesMarch asked her the question on Thursday.
Currently the highest goal scorer with 7 to her credit, the Delta-born forward has accounted for most of the goals scored by her club in the league this season (17) and was awarded player of the month in July of which her prize was presented to her on Wednesday, the same day Osun Babes were knocked out of the 2015 Federation Cup after losing in the Quarter-final to Nasarawa Amazons.
That however did not douse her excitement at being recognised for her performance.
“I was very very happy,” Edewor told LadiesMarch, explaining how she felt while she received the award.
Putting the Federation Cup ouster behind her, she is looking forward to helping her side get to the top of Group A in the Nigeria Women Premier League as they now have their eyes on the league title.
In the rescheduled week 5 fixtures on Saturday, Osun Babes welcome FC Robo. They are currently third on the table but share the same points with the teams in 1st and 2nd positions.
