With the football event of the All-Africa Games set to kickoff this weekend, Coach of defending champions, Cameroon, Enow Ngachu has declared the team’s intention to reclaim gold.
The Indomitable Lionesses travelled today (Tuesday) after training internally for about a month. Led by Captain Christine Manie, the team were camped in a hotel and trained twice a day at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde with focus on an offensive and defensive plan.
“Our goal is to keep the gold medal, Cameroonians have always trusted us and we will do everything not to disappoint them,” Ngachu assures.
They were engaged in four friendly matches against youth teams from the Central Region and one thing coach Ngachu did was to see how they could perform in fatigue conditions. In one of their friendlies, he made no substitutions.
