The former Rivers Angels left-back put pen to paper in France on Monday, sealing her two seasons move to Paris Saint-Germain Women’s team.
It’s a first taste of overseas club football for Ngozi Ebere, 24, who has won several trophies with Nigeria Women Premier League side, Rivers Angels including a league and Federation Cup double last season.
“I’m here to give my very best and win trophies. I am very motivated by this new challenge here in Paris. This is a dream come true.” Ngozi enthused after signing her contract.
The set-piece specialist was influential for Nigeria in the last World Cup in Canada, though the African Champions failed to progress from the group stage.
Paris coach Farid Benstiti has said: “…She will offer another option to Laure Boulleau, who has played a lot of football in recent seasons. She has a huge potential and plenty of qualities that she showed during the World Cup. She will need a certain time to adapt, but her quality will see her ready very quickly.”
In less than a month the UEFA Women’s Champions League round of 32 begins, and PSG who are last season’s runners up will travel to Romania for a first leg encounter against Olimpia Cluj.
