As expected, offensive was in full swing as  Osas Igbinovia beat two Rivers Angels players with quick feet to set up Uzor whose right footed shot was saved by Rivers Angels goalie debutant, Oluehi  Rivers Angels slowly got a grip on the game as the duo of Chioma Wogu and Gladys Akpan marshaled the midfield against Bayelsa Queens resilient midfielder, Yetunde who never gave up on the ball amidst their respective coaches barking out orders from the touch-line.

At half time, it was as square, goalless at the break.

The game progressed with either side not able to capitalize on defensive errors but one went punished in the 3rd minute of added time at the end of regulation time when a bursting run by Rivers Angels defender, Ugo Njoku from the right saw her manouver into the box penalty box and  was fouled by the Bayelsa Queens player.
