Charity Reuben shares her thoughts on a disappointing team run for Ibom Angels after four matchdays.
After getting onto a brace and taking the lead in the fifth minute through her strike, the Angels let their lead slip and are yet to secure their first league win of the campaign.
Coach Whyte Ogbonna led side lost 3-2 to their Lagos opponents in a blockbuster NWPL clash at the Legacy Pitch on Wednesday, April 19.
Speaking to Supersport.com, Reuben said regardless of the joy that comes with scoring goals, the defeat stung and her team must look to stopping the rot sooner.
“I’m happy with my two goals but unhappy it failed to secure us the crucial three points at stake
“It’s still a sad moment that we were unable to claim a win after three matches in the on-going top-flight. We have taken the result in good faith to work hard on winning our next match on the calendar.
“I think FC Robo Queens were outright the better side on matchday and ably deserved their hard fought victory.
“FC Robo Queens were fitter and had better ball control and possession which is something for us to worry about.
“I still believe the league is in infancy we will overcome the teething problem to take our rightful place on the league log.”
