UWCL: Ebere unused in PSG’s Barcelona revenge

 Ngozi Ebere‘s PSG are close to qualifying for the final of the UEFA Women’s Champions League, after defeating Barcelona 3-1 in Saturday, April 22 semifinal tie.

Ebere was missing in action in a match played at the Mimi Estadi Stadium which had a record of 10,352 spectators in attendance.

The French team took the lead after 26 minutes through Marie Delie and doubled their advantage moments later when Brazil international Cristiane nodded in from the latter’s cross.

Shirley Cruz sealed the win for the Parisian side in the second half with a beautiful lob close to the edge of the box, before Barbara Latorre netted the consolatory goal for Spanish outfit late in the game.

The Super Falcons defender who recently won the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) with Nigeria, is yet to play for PSG this season.

In the other encounter, Olympique Lyon beat debutants Manchester City by the same scoreline to remain on course for a first all-French Champions League final
