Delta Queens suffered their first league defeat of the season after losing 3-1 to Osun Babes in a Nigeria Women Premier League week six encounter played on Wednesday, May 3rd.
A double from forward Precious Edewor and a goal by Kesiena Ojiyovw earned the Omoluabi Ladies their second win of the campaign in the Nigerian topflight league.
At the UJ Esuene Stadium, substitute Ifeoma Paulinus struck the match winner on the 88th minute to secure Confluence Queens’ first away victory this term, after the Kogi Ladies beat Pelican Stars 1-0.
Sunshine Queens bounced back to winning ways with a comfortable 2-0 win over visiting Abia Angels thanks to goals from Patience Agbokhadi and Ihuoma Goodness.

Joy Bokiri scored her third goal of the season in Bayelsa Queens 2-0 defeat of Ibom Angels at the Nembe City Stadium, in a match that also saw Aminat Yakubu netting for the hosts.
In Minna, winless Saadatu Amazons managed to pick a point as they were held to a 0-0 draw by visitors Edo Queens at the Federal Polytechnic Pitch.
Elsewhere, it was a similar situation as table toppers Nasarawa Amazons failed to score for second time this season, following a goalless draw with homers Adamawa Queens.
