Francisca Ordega was involved in all Washington Spirit’s goals in the 4-3 win over Sky Blue FC in a National Women Soccer League (NWSL) match on Sunday, May 7.
Spirit’s other goal came from Havana Solaun who slotted in the third goal from an Ordega assist.
Kelly O’Hara got the Sky Blue’s first goal before Sarah Killion got her brace, including one from the penalty spot to set up a grandstand finish.
However, Spirit goalkeeper Stephanie Labbé made an outstanding save in the dying embers of added time to preserve the Spirit’s first win of the 2017 campaign.
Registering two starts this year in matchday four, the Super Falcons forward set off a sequence of events with her first goal of the season.
