By Rebecca Magoma

Football Kenya Federation Women Premier League first leg comes to a conclusion this weekend with teams jostling for points that will put them in a better position.

In Zone A, the battle for top spot is at stake when title holders Thika Queens travel to the Coastal region to play Mombasa Olympic.

The match set for Sunday at Mbaraki Stadium will see Queens who are currently unbeaten since last season and on top of the table with 16 points play Olympic who are currently in second place with 12 points.

Thika Queens have a swift attacker in Harambee Starlets’ forward Mercy Achieng. She has been the pillar of their attack since last year and her goalscoring prowess is expected to continue in this match.

Olympic and Harambee Starlets forward Mwanahalima Adam is also expected to star in this match. Following her brace during the Harambee Starlets friendly match against Lynchburg LFC from USA, Adam has shown her scoring form this season.
