Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Women Premier League rescheduled matches will be played on Thursday in various venues around the country.
In Zone B, Nyamira Starlets will host Oserian Ladies at Sironga Stadium from 1pm. This will be a tricky match for the home side considering the fact that they have been registering dismal performances this season.
Starlets have not won a match this season and are at the basement of the league table without a point from four matches while their opponents, Oserian Ladies have won all their matches and are in second place with 13 points from five matches – two points shy of league leaders Vihiga Queens who have played six matches.
The Naivasha-based, Oserian go into this match with confidence following their 1-0 win over Vihiga Queens over the weekend.
Players to Watch: Oserian have good players but Dorcas Shikobe who has been scoring goals for the club will be instrumental in this match and her twin striker Gentrix Nabwire is also expected to continue with her scoring antics.
Bulemia vs Wadadia
Newbies, Bulemia will host Wadadia at Butula Polytechnic Grounds from 3pm. This will be the first time the sides will be meeting this season but the home side has to do more to make sure they secure a point or maximum points because the visitors will not be pushovers in the fixture.
Wadadia have picked eight points from five matches and are fourth on the table while Bulemia have picked a single win and are in the second to last place on the table with three points from five matches.
Bulemia vs Nyamira Starlets
On Saturday Bulemia will host Nyamira Starlets at the same venue from 1pm.
There will be one match in zone A when Mombasa Olympic entertain Kayole Starlets at Mbaraki Sports club from 3pm.
This match was to be played three weeks ago but it was rescheduled because Starlets were involved in an accident.
Olympic have an upper hand in this match considering that they have amassed nine points from five matches while Starlets have managed four points from five matches.
The home side, Olympic are third on the table while Starlets are on the second to last place.
Players to Watch:
Mwanahalima Adam has been instrumental in this team especially in the first four matches this season scoring in each of the encounters. She recently scored a brace when Harambee Starlets hosted Division One side Lynchburg FC from USA.
The speedy striker is at the peak of her career this season and is expected to contest for the top scorer’s gong.
