Kenya National Women U-20 team head coach Ann Alouch is confident ahead of their 2018 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup preliminary qualifier against Botswana set for next Month.
Aluoch who assumed the reins of the national side a couple of months ago says guiding the senior team to a 4-1 win against USA’s Division One side Lynchburg in an international friendly on Thursday evening was a great experience at the touchline.
“This was my first time coaching a national side and the feeling was great.
“I’m privileged and happy to have guided the national team to a win in my new assignment and my focus now shifts to the preparation of the forthcoming U-20 FIFA World Cup qualifiers,” said the tactician.
Aluoch will be assisted by Jackline Juma in the junior team.
The U-20 team will commence their France 2018 campaign away in Botswana.
The last time the junior side took part in the global tournament was during the FIFA 2012 qualifiers where they were eliminated in the third round by Tunisia.
Then, the team was under the guidance of former Harambee Starlets midfielder Florence Adhiambo.
