FIFA U20 World Cup: Kenya announce squad for qualifier

Kenya has named the national U-20 women’s team that is set to play Botswana in the 2018 U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier later this month.

Harambee Starlets duo of midfielder Corazone Aquino who plays for Women Premier League side Soccer Queens and Lilian Awour who features for Vihiga Queens headline the 33 players who are expected in camp in a week’s time.

The duo featured for the national team during the Africa Women Cup of Nations finals in Cameroon in late 2016.

Other experienced players in the squad include Wincate Kaari who features for two-time defending champions Thika Queens, Vihiga Queens forward Cynthia Shilwatso and Vihiga Leeds striker Teresa Engesha.
