All roads lead to Benin City for NWPL Super 4

The 2016/2017 Nigeria Women Premier League season-ending Super 4 tournament will hold between the 11th and 16th of September In Benin City, the capital of Edo State. This was announced at the draw ceremony of the tournament which held on Wednesday, 16th of August, in the presence of the president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Melvin Pinnick, the Chairperson of the Nigeria Women Football League, Aisha Falode and members of the press at Protea Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

The tournament which will be contested by Bayelsa Queens, Rivers Angels, Nasarawa Amazons and Delta Queens has been given an improved prize money of Three million naira for the Champions and Two million naira for the runners-up. Mouth-watering for all the participating clubs.


Rivers Angels will be looking to defend their title, Bayelsa Queens will be gunning for a first league title in ten years, Nasarawa Amazons will be competing for their first league title since 2013 and Delta Queens will be aiming for a first league title since 2011.
