France 2018: Kenya ready for Jordan

By Rebecca Magoma

Kenya U-20 women national team will jet out this weekend for their two-legged friendly matches against the Jordan U-20 team set for August 29 and August 31.

The national side lost 2-1 in a build-up match against the national U-13 boys side at Machakos Stadium on Wednesday.

Joseph Munala and Guyo Abdir scored for the U-13 team while Corazone Aquino netted a consolation for the U-20 side.

The team is expected to leave without seven first team players who are currently out in Gulu Uganda where they are taking part in the East Africa School Games.

The seven have already been replaced for the trip.

The trip will gauge the team’s preparedness before they play their FIFA U-20 Women World Cup first round fixture against Ethiopia set for next month.

The national side picked a 7-1 aggregate win over Botswana in the preliminary round to book a date with Ethiopia in the first round.
