Kenya’s Under -17 women’s national team will kick start their campaign in the CAF Qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup against neighbors Ethiopia.
The preliminary round that is set for October has attracted ten nations battling for first round spots.
This is the second time the junior team has taken part in the qualifiers following their match against Nigeria a couple of years ago where they were eliminated.

Libya v Djibouti
Sierra Leone v Gambia
Zambia v Botswana
Ethiopia v Kenya
Mali v Algeria
The winner of the two-edged encounter pitting Kenya and Ethiopia will face Nigeria in the first round.
At the same time six nations got a bye in the preliminary round and they will start their campaign in the first round. They are; Tunisia, Ghana, South Africa, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria and Cameroon.
The winner between Libya and Djibouti will play against Tunisia in the first round while winner between Sierra Leone and Gambia will entertain Ghana.
South Africa will await the winner between Zambia and Botswana while Cameroon await the winner between Mali and Algeria.
Morocco will face Equatorial Guinea in another round one clash.
Only three nations will represent the continent in the Uruguay 2018 World Cup.
Nigeria and Ghana have been dominant in this category and they are expected to shine in the qualifiers.
