KeWPL UPDATES: Eldoret Falcons capture six ahead of second stanza

Football Kenya Federation Women Premier League Zone B side Eldoret Falcons have injected six new players in their squad ahead of the second half of the season due to kick off in a couple of weeks.

The new players in the team include; the duo of Linda Auma (striker)  and Maureen Shimuli (goalkeeper) joining from two-time defending champions Thika Queens, Joyce Awuor and Ruth James (strikers) from Moi University.

Diana Shakava joins the Eldoret -based side from Bishop Njenga while Njoki Mutua rejoins the side after a long season absence.

Falcons struggled in the last two seasons and this season has not been different following their performance in the first stanza.

The side has seven points from seven matches and sit fifth on the table.

Oserian Ladies who missed the play-offs last season are top of the standings with 19 points ahead of Vihiga Queens who have 18 points.

Wadadia are third with 14 points while newbies Palos Ladies have nine points in fourth place.

Vihiga Leeds are in the sixth place with six points ahead of Bulemia who have three points and Nyamira Starlets who are languishing at the basement of the table without a point.

Falcons opens their second stanza of the season account against Nyamira Starlets.
