Zone B side Vihiga Queens continued in their winning ways as the Football Kenya Federation Women Premier League resumed over the weekend.
Queens whitewashed newbies Bulemia 6-0 at Butula Polytechnic Grounds on Saturday evening.
Mercy Anyango scored four while Everlyne Omuronji and Robai Kebedi scored one each to make sure they picked maximum points.
Queens’ coach Alex Alumira described it as a perfect start as he hopes for an improved second half of the season.
Oserian Ladies came from behind twice to settle for a 2-2 draw against newcomers Palos Women at Moi Stadium, Kisumu. This is the second time this season that Oserian Ladies have dropped points but they remain unbeaten so far in the zone.
Prudence Odemba and Triza Manyala scored for Palos while Dorcas Shikobe and Zena Athman scored for Oserian Ladies.
In another match, Wadadia picked maximum points with a 2-1 win over Vihiga Leeds at Mumias Sports Complex.
In Zone A, Mathare United Women picked easy points when their opponents Soccer Sisters failed to honor the fixture at Camp Toyoyo Grounds.
In another encounter, Kayole Starlet forced a barren draw against Soccer Queens at Impala Grounds in Nairobi.
“We are going back to work on the mistakes from this match before our next match. We missed some players who are out injured and I hope that they will be back before our next match,” said Kayole Starlet coach Joshua Sakwa.
