Last year, the Kumasi-based side beat Hasaacas Ladies 1-0 in Cape Coast to win the championship.

Lady Strikers in the Southern zone had 31 points to qualify for the first time in the final while Ampem Darkoa Ladies in the Northern zone also had 31 points.

The League leaders from both zones have never met in the final.

This is the first time teams meeting in the final play-off, have both had the same points (31) in their respective campaigns.

Police Ladies will face Prisons Ladies at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on 21 October in the final of Sanford FA Cup final.
