Kenya’s U-20 Women’s National team will miss the services of seven key players in their second round of the 2018 World Cup qualifier clash against Ghana set between November 3-5 in Accra, Ghana.

The team is currently at a residential camp in Machakos in preparation for the showdown.

Only 17 players have reported to camp from the 30 that were called up with the rest set to arrive at a latter date.

The seven players will miss the penultimate duel due to taking their final Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination, KCPE, simultaneously set for the same duration as the fixture.

The players include; Sheryl Angachi, Cynthia Shilwatso, Maureen Khakasa, Cynthia Akinyi, Sharon Adhiambo, Mercy Airo and Vivian Nasaka.

This will be a big blow for the Kenyan side, as they seek to go one better than the result they posted in the 2011 qualifier, where they were eliminated in the third round by Tunisia.

Kenya eliminated stubborn Ethiopia in the first round with a 4-3 aggregate win, while Ghana overwhelmed Algeria 10-0 on aggregate to proceed.
