Nigeria international, Asisat Oshoala scored twice and provided two assists to help her club, Dalian Quanjian clinch the Chinese Women’s Super Cup with a 5-3 victory over Shanghai on Tuesday in a game she described as “mad”.
The reigning Africa Women Player of the Year, has now won two titles in her first season in China after playing a crucial role in ensuring that Dalian Quanjian retained their league crown in September.
In last year’s Super Cup, Dalian Quanjian were beaten 4-3 on penalties by Tianjin Huisen following a 3-3 draw.
So far, Oshoala’s journey in China has seen her lift two titles, a bronze medal and a highest goal scorer accolade.
The Ikorodu-born forward will now turn her attention to the Lagos Girls’ Football Clinic which is organised by her foundation.
The clinic which is scheduled for 15 – 17 November is aimed at developing women’s football in Lagos and has got huge backing from the First Lady of Lagos state, Mrs Bolanle Ambode.
