Kenya: Otto Benecker win Dada Football Tournament for record third time

Otto Benecker have emerged champions of the third edition of the Dada Football Tournament following a 1-0 win over President Kimbrow Foundation (PKF) in the final at Camp Toyoyo Grounds on Saturday.

Former U-20 international Mural Auma ‘Marcelo’ scored the lone goal which gave Otto their record third title.

Prior to the finals, they comfortably dispatched hapless Amani Kibera 3-0 with goals from Christine Nafula, Mwanahalima Adam and Wendy Achieng.

While PKF  defeated last year finalists Team Kujibamba  4-3 on post match penalties following a 1-1 draw in regular time.

Purity Nyongesa opened the scores for Kujibamba before Mercy Achieng equalized to force the match to penalties.

INDIVIDUAL AWARDS

PKF’s Mercy Achieng went home with the Golden Boot award after scoring a record 14 goals.

Otto Benecker’s Mwanhalima Adam took the Most Valuable Player of the tournament award.

Brenda Achieng from Benecker took home the Golden Glove award while St Anne’s Agnes Sirengo was named the Most Promising Player of the Tournament.
