Black Queens Skipper joins NWSL side Seattle Reign

Black Queens skipper Elizabeth Addo has joined National Women’s Soccer League side Seattle Reign from Swedish Club Kvarnsveden.

The attacking midfielder nicknamed “Pele” captured the attention of Seattle Reign after an impressive performance in Sweden last season which saw her find net nine times for her club.

Seattle Reign announced the signing of the Ghana female international after a deal was agreed.

Addo, ex-Black Maidens and Black Princesses captain has been one of the consistent players for the National team in the last two years.

She led the Black Queens to bronze at the Africa Women’s Championship in Cameroon two years ago where she ended up as one of the best players in the competition ultimately earning herself a nomination for the Africa female footballer of the year award.

The 24-year-old skillful midfielder becomes the latest signing for Seattle after Steph Catley and Jasmyne Spencer.
