AWCON: Ethiopia enter camp in preparation for qualifiers

Ethiopia’s Lucy reported to camp on Monday 5 March in preparation for their two-legged Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) qualifiers against Libya set for early next Month.

Ethiopia will be seeking their fourth appearance in the prestigious continental showpiece following their participation in 2002, 2004 and 2012.

This will be second time Libya will be taking part in the qualifiers. Last year they were eliminated by Egypt in the first round.

Egypt graced the last edition last year in Cameroon.

The winners from the two-legged fixture will face the winners of the Senegal versus Algeria tie.

Seven winners will emerge to join hosts Ghana in the AWCON finals which will double as the CAF qualifiers for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
