U-20 WWC qualifiers: Black Princesses face Equatorial Guinea in second round

Ghana’s Under 20 Women National Team, the Black Princesses will tackle Equatorial Guinea in the second round of the 2016 U-20 Women’s World Cup (WWC) qualifying series and the first leg comes up on any of the 25th to 27th of September in Accra.

The Black Princesses completed their win over first round counterparts, Senegal with a 2-0 away win in the Senegalese capital, Dakar, in the second leg to progress 8:0 on aggregate. The two goals from Jane Ayieyam and Lily Niber- Lawrence ensured victory for the Black Princesses. They had a 6-0 clean sweep in the first leg at Accra sport stadium.

Princesses now face Equatorial Guinea in a second consecutive qualifier after beating the Guinean side in the 2014 under 20 Women’s World Cup qualifier on penalties.

The Guineans on other hand, advanced to the second round with a convincing 4-0 home win over Mali. They made sure of qualification in the first leg as their second leg game away ended goalless.
